Brylee's Room
I had the chance to paint a nursery for the Richardson family. The couple wanted a bug theme using bright, bold colors such as lime green, a burnt red, chocolate brown, and light blue. She showed me the bed skirt that had a clean line design and I immediately got inspired for some sketches. Since the bed skirt had a simple design, I thought we should keep the mural simple as well. So I drew a clean lined tree and hills. As for the flowers, I used the stlye of the famous artist Wassily Kandinsky piece "Concentric Circles." I liked the overlapping circles that incorporate basic shape but still look like flowers:).
The process was a lot of fun and I hope they enjoy it for the next few years! Thank you Brianne and Brian!
