A bathroom with a Tuscany feel!
Several months back, Brock's mother wanted to give the up stairs guest bathroom a fresh new look. The bathroom's color seemed very cold and stale, and the tile was in really bad shape so I told her I would love to help give the room a warmer feel.
She wanted to either go with an ocean oasis or a Tuscany cottage feel. I thought either one would be great so I sketched some drawings on what the bathroom could look like with some fresh paint and fun textures. From there, we both agreed on the Tuscany look, especially since she had a painting with a Italian country landscape. The painting basically became a inspiration for the room itself:)
I thought the cabinets could use a fresh chocolate color to contrast with a cream colored walls. To add more color, I thought the windows could use some rustic turquoise shutters or red curtains. And for the icing on the cake, it is always fun to add small small accessories to add a bit of character such as any kind of greenery, small pieces of furniture, or even a lamp to add more warmth!
I fell in love with the chocolate colored paint for the cabinets! As for the walls, we decided to go with a venictian plaster to add lots of texture. Finally for the tile, Ben, Brock's brother, came to the rescue of cutting and laying the tile with Jamie's help. They did an awesome job!!! I will post the picture of the shower tile soon.
After pictures!!! I will be posting more pictures soon!
